Wheel question

Hello everyone. I just put a deposit down my first Mini yesterday and will be picking it up this coming week. I am getting a black on black JCW and I want the black 18" JCW R113 wheels for it. My question is, should I have the dealer put them on, or would it be cheaper for me to go aftermarket? I have no idea how I would go about doing that as I'm not seeing them for sale online, but I don't want to get ripped off at the dealer either.
Please help!

Although the R113 is a great looking wheel, there are more and more great looking wheels hitting the market that with fit the JCW brakes. While you're waiting look around. Darn near anyone will be cheaper than the dealer.

you could easily go lighter/stronger/and in my opinion better looking w/ aftermarket. But some like to keep it Mini, and if that is so that is probably the best choice in a stock wheel!!

Sounds good...Any suggestions? I definitely want 18" and black. They could also have a little red trim since it would match the brakes.

Try tirerack.com. They have a good selection and you can even view them on your vehicle. As phlash points out make sure they fit over the JCW factory brakes, which are larger then the dealer installed JCW brake kit.

now thats the tough part

i personally love the BBS LMs. Theyre 18lbs or so each compared to the 113's 23 lb. ea. They come in black w machined lip. There are replicas out there too since the real ones are 800/ea.
its all personal choice though. I doubt there is a rim that looks exactly like the 113, so if that design is the one, go for it.

The Rial Bari is similar to the R105's and not bad looking. It's on Tire Rack and it lists weight at 23 lbs, but is much cheaper than the MINI OEM wheels. I'm in same quandry, wanting a nice 18 inch wheel, really like the R113's though.

I looked at OZ Ultraleggera's in 18's but tire rack only had them in black. The 4x100 bolt pattern is killing me!

Have them painted by a local bodyshop. $ 300 or less for all 4.

You should not have any problems finding wheels if you do the stud conversion .
