Are Rota's cheap quality? I haven't heard anyone complain about the quality... only praises. No they're not as light, but that's a pretty penny if yer not watching every pound cause yer MINI is a track car.
CCW,Fikse,Volk,SSR and many more companies offer forged or forged and spun aluminum ,The wheels are very liteweight, can be repaired if dameged ,2 pcs wheels can be modified down the road.
Lower price wheels tend to be cast and of lower quaility,In looking at cast wheels look for a company that offers TUV certified wheels.
Rial / BBS / OZ / RAYS offer good quality cast wheels at a low price that will hold up to almost any pothole, curb or speed bump .
How about the wheels listed as being JCW-compatible on tirerack? I had a long conversation w/ a tirerack customer service rep yesterday and he said they bring each car in, map the rotors/brakes/suspension with a radio wand and "test" them all w/ a CAD program.

I would assume (I could be wrong... so please check, and don't purchase based on my assumption) that TireRack would at least let you return rims if they list them as fitting, and then they don't.

I started this thread as a list of non-OEM wheels that I sell that I have seen fit with my own eyes. It did not start out as a sticky, nor did I intend it to be a comprehensive list of every wheel that fits over the JCW brakes. I just wanted to share my first-hand experience.
I guess what I'm saying is, if you want to have a thread that's a comprehensive list of all wheels that fit, it might do to start a new thread, and/or appoint someone to manage a list.
Tire Rack is thorough about fitment testing, so if they say a wheel of theirs fits on the car, you can be pretty sure it fits.
Most do, or can it can be adapted to them. As some have said, if you go for the absolute cheapest wheels, you will get just that.
Sorry bud, that's not the case. Take a look at SSR wheels. They are plenty expensive and nice, but do not support the TPS, as the inner wheel does not have enough flat area around the stem location to provide a solid seal.
