But for the price for one of those wheels, you can practically buy 4 Rota wheels. I was very interested in those until I saw the price.

With cheap wheels you get what you pay for.

Are Rota's cheap quality? I haven't heard anyone complain about the quality... only praises. No they're not as light, but that's a pretty penny if yer not watching every pound cause yer MINI is a track car.

CCW,Fikse,Volk,SSR and many more companies offer forged or forged and spun aluminum ,The wheels are very liteweight, can be repaired if dameged ,2 pcs wheels can be modified down the road.

Lower price wheels tend to be cast and of lower quaility,In looking at cast wheels look for a company that offers TUV certified wheels.

Rial / BBS / OZ / RAYS offer good quality cast wheels at a low price that will hold up to almost any pothole, curb or speed bump .

I appreciate the lesson, but I already knew that. Not exactly all those manf specifically, so I appreciate the list.

I've found brand new forged aluminum wheels, 17's and 18's for $65-$149/piece that are from a well known manf.

Still wanting to know if Rota RB 17" wheels will fit with a minimal spacer. Anyone done this with a JCW factory car?

We already went over this in post 54 of this thread. We used a 15mm spacer to fit them on a factory JCW model.

Do Enkei RPF1 or Kosei K1 TS wheels fit?

These would be 17x7 4x100 ET43 and 17x7 4x100 ET42 respectively

Both great, light <15lb wheels...

A few forum members have Enkeis on R53s or MCS cars

How about the wheels listed as being JCW-compatible on tirerack? I had a long conversation w/ a tirerack customer service rep yesterday and he said they bring each car in, map the rotors/brakes/suspension with a radio wand and "test" them all w/ a CAD program.

I would assume (I could be wrong... so please check, and don't purchase based on my assumption) that TireRack would at least let you return rims if they list them as fitting, and then they don't.

I started this thread as a list of non-OEM wheels that I sell that I have seen fit with my own eyes. It did not start out as a sticky, nor did I intend it to be a comprehensive list of every wheel that fits over the JCW brakes. I just wanted to share my first-hand experience.

I guess what I'm saying is, if you want to have a thread that's a comprehensive list of all wheels that fit, it might do to start a new thread, and/or appoint someone to manage a list.

Tire Rack is thorough about fitment testing, so if they say a wheel of theirs fits on the car, you can be pretty sure it fits.

Most do, or can it can be adapted to them. As some have said, if you go for the absolute cheapest wheels, you will get just that.

All the wheels we sell (and so all the wheels I've listed) do work with TPMS.

Sorry bud, that's not the case. Take a look at SSR wheels. They are plenty expensive and nice, but do not support the TPS, as the inner wheel does not have enough flat area around the stem location to provide a solid seal.
