Long story short, the car has a vibration under power that is mostly felt in 2nd gear, sometimes in 1st and 3rd, feel it more when it's under load (either cornering or uphill). The Ford dealership I bought the car from replaced the front left axle because the CV boot was slinging grease. The vibration was still there, so I took the car to the local mini dealership and they said that that's a "normal" vibration for '02 mini's. Does anyone else experience this? I can't imagine that this can be considered normal. So, here's a question for you gurus, I have these lights (see arrow on picture) on my car which I thought were foglights, but I have no switches in the s4, s5 spots (which are supposed to control foglights, right?). Furthermore, I can't figure out how to turn these on. No position or combination of positions on the headlight controls turns them on. I guess the first thing i need to know is are these actually foglights? Why would my car have them and not have a switch in the S4 or S5 position? Is there another common method for operating these lights? If they were installed after the fact, where would the switch be located? Any help provided will be GREATLY appreciated...:confused:

Not that it helps me, of course. I took it to my local tire dealer who put on two new tires and did a "complete" alignment.

He said that the rear tire camber was out of spec on both tires but that it could not be adjusted by anyone but the dealer (drives me crazy when I hear this). He also said it may be caused by worn bushings.

In a nutshell he doesn't know how to diagnose the problem or offer an appropriate solution.

The rear tires were down to the cords on the inner edge. and both measured excessive negative camber. I have these tires regularly rotated so this must be a recent development.

Where do I start (except for the dealer)?

I figure 4 new rotors + 4 sets of pads will run me around 500 bucks if I go for nice pads, so I may as well jump up to a BBK while im at it.

Do any of the BBK's provide this feel? Of course stainless lines will help with anything, and I plan on getting those as well. I have an issue with the oil in the car...

First, I've never had a single oil light come on, and the oil pressure has always been just fine. The oil was changed at the dealership 7 months ago, and the ticker says I have over 11,000 miles to go.

Had the car at a non-MINI dealership over the weekend, and he told me and showed me where I have a bad valve cover gasket and an oil leak. He found no oil on the dipstick.

So I'm ignorant to all of this - do I need to add some oil ASAP? And this place wanted $200 for the repair, and then I assume it will need another oil change? It's not possible that the car has been running without oil, right? I mean, wouldn't a warning light have come on letting me know the oil was low?

My passenger side headlight was out, and didn't think much of it until I noticed all the "dashboard" lights were out on the passenger side. IE, the air conditioner lights only work on the drivers side half, etc. Thought it would be fuse related, but those are good. So, now I'm astonished at what it could be? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

But I'm worried about running without a way of checking oil level, as my engine has been known to go through oil. I would greatly appreciate it of anyone would be so kind as to give me a measurement from the shoulder of the handle to the high and low marks - Hopefully that way I can rig something that will at least let me read the oil level every so often.
