I am thinking about our post breakfast drive and thought of Hocking Hills area. Not sure about lunch spots near there.

Any other suggestions for the drive or lunch?

Chuck, any scenic routes you like best?

I am looking forward to the drive.

Hi all. I just bought an XM OnyX Satellite Radio and have been reading the threads on NAM in regards to installation. I have a question about the radio antenna on my car (2008 Mini S, hardtop with sunroof). Is it true that the factory-installed antenna has a built-in satellite radio antenna? I just looked at my car, and there isn't an electrical panel/box under the passenger seat. There is a plug that runs from the seat to under the carpet underneath the seat. I'm guessing the SAT connector is buried under the carpet, under the seat--which means I have to remove the passenger seat. This makes me nervous--any tips on doing this? I think I also need a SMB cable supplier (from CD International Technology) to connect the XM radio to to the car's OEM antenna? (Admittedly, I am not very knowledgeable on the workings of car!)

Any other helpful information on installing a satellite radio, such as tucking in the wires? How to mount, without damaging the car interior? I was considering a suction cup mount, but I don't want wires hanging all over the dashboard (I already have this with a Garmin.)

Thanks!
Cindy

Hey folks!

I'm new to Columbus and hope to get out to a meet sometime soon! Someone was kind enough to place a card on my MINI in the Whole Foods lot on Sawmill. (Awww.....)

Anyway, here's my question for the forum:
I'm planning on my first oil change at ~7500 miles, which happens to be right about now. I don't have any tools to do it myself, and I'm not even sure if I could do so in an apartment complex. Ideal situation: I can do it before I log another 1000 miles next weekend.

So, are...

So, are there any places in town that the good members of this board like to use? I figure a dealer could do it, but that would get pricey quickly.

Anyone here have the cold start chatter issue and had the repair done at MAG? If so did they take your word for it or did it have to be demonstrating the issue when you took the car in? My wife's 08 Clubman S has had the chatter 3 or 4 times since we've owned it. There would be no way to demonstrate it to the service guys though as the problem is a) rare and b) goes away after driving for a few minutes.

Sorry to all you MAG lovers but F them they charge $500 an hour and do not know torque specs for wheels pure bull ****. I went to put snow tires on today and my wheels are on so tight I can not get the lug nuts to budge. How hard is it to use a torque wrench to put the wheels back on the car? Even the tire scalper down the street uses a torque wrench, probably because he does not have enough money to afford an impact wrench because he only charges $50 an hour. My car will never see the inside of that dealer again and if my body goes in there again I am shitting and not flushing. Anybody know the phone number for the survey I want to make sure I voice my complaints and get that bunch of overcharging *******s in trouble.

We went and picked up the Clubman yesterday morning! It's good to have it back and it looks like they did a decent job. I noticed a couple of things and they said to take it home for the weekend and get a list of everything we notice, so looks like we will have to go back next week to get a couple of things taken care of. I think that Sunday is supposed to be sunny, so it should be a good day to look at everything once I get off work. Anyone want to help look it over Sunday?

Also, there is a strong paint smell. Is it supposed to be like that and if so, how do we get rid of it?
