Okay, I just found out who reported our Minis for parking "diagonally" instead of "parallel" at the Shasta Rummage Sale. While many of our Mini freinds drove several hundred miles to support our event, someone reported us to the "authorities" stating that we were illegally parked. Tracking your MINI on order

If you're anything like me you are so stoked about your new MINI that you can't wait to get it. Once I learned about the MINI Owner's Lounge I was pretty excited :thumbsup:... I mean it gives you a lot more info than other dealers when you order a car. However, it left me wanting more.

I did some research and came across this site: http://bit.ly/4D6CvA. It's a blog by another MINI fanatic with some REALLY :nod: helpful info on how you can track your MINI from the plant to the boat, then as it travels overseas and eventually to your dealer's door for pick up.

I just tracked my 2010 Metallic Horizon Blue MINI Clubman with silver roof & racing stripes. It's on the Manon (ship) in the middle of the Atlantic. It's slated for arrival at port in Brunswick, GA on 11/24/09. Hopefully the shipment will be okay and my MINI will be on it's way to my dealer in Fort Myers by the end of the month.

If you have your VIN number, enter it on this site https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage to get the boat info. After that, you can use this site http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/ to track it on the water.

Coolant disapearing - no apparent leak

Hello all. I have a strange issue w/my 2003 Mini.

My problem is that the coolant is slowly disappearing w/no apparent leak. Two weekends ago the cooling fan came on for the first time ever, I checked the coolant tank and it was bone dry. I refilled w/water and coolant and went on my way.

This weekend, same thing happened - fan came on and tank bone dry.

I haven't seen any puddling in my garage or anywhere else where I park. So the question is that where did the coolant go? I'm guessing this is a problem that needs to be looked at by a mechanic. My ability for self-help is limited with these types of things.

So I've read a bunch of the joey mod threads and the guys dipping/spraying their chrome trim... But I'm curious, just how easy is it to peel off if I decide I hate the look?

Gonne pick some up and try it on the mkIV jetta grille first.. and I do not need to be hunting a new grille down should I not like the look..
The mini will soon follow :)

After having owned a MINI and going into 2010, what would you guys buy if for some reason you were going to trade your MINI in. If you MINI is a daily driver, pick something you could drive every day. If it is a weekend car, pick something you'd drive on the weekends.

Would you buy a MINIvan?

I'm in a graphic design class, and as one of our projects, we were asked to do a visual pun, and I put together something I called a "MINIvan," which is basically a 4-door MINI with sliding rear doors (like a minivan, wakka wakka wakka).

It proved fairly popular on my Facebook page, so I figured I would bring it over here to see what you think, but more importantly, should MINI build one? Mind you, this was made with tongue firmly in cheek, but I think it would be a fairly neat concept car for them to make. It would probably have to be made on the Clubman, just because it's longer, but the ingress/egress would be that much easier, no?

Just purchased a new 09 MCS (black,leather.premium,cold and convenience packages)

I was wondering if any MINI owners also own a Bulldog...

One of the reasons I purchased a MINI was the fact that Bulldogs are the official MINI mascot...

This is my first MINI, but I have owned Bulldogs all my adult life, so its kinda neat to own both a MINI and a Bulldog!!!!

Insurance for Run flat Tires? should I get it?

Hi All,
I'm new, just got an 2010 pepper white S! It has run flat tires, the dealer offered me insurance for the tires... saying that they pick up nails easily and get damaged easily by pot holes and will likely need to be replaced before the tread wears out for the previously mentioned reason. The cost is $1000 U.S. no deductible and unlimited replacement for 5 years.

So my question is, for those of you that have run flats, this is my first car with run flats, how often have pot holes or nails caused you to replace yours?
