I've got an 05 MCS with nav and am really getting annoyed with having to lean down to be able to see how fast I am going. The steering wheel is blocking the speedometer, and because I have the NAV, I cannot get the digital readout. Does anyone know of any aftermarket accessory that I could install to show an accurate digital readout of how fast I am going? I have searched, but was not able to find anything. Thanks.
Yea, thats the obvious answer, but it just isn't as comfortable with the steering up high enough as to where I can see the speedometer which is why I am looking for something aftermarket I can install.

How about a dirt cheap handheld GPS? Heck it would probably even be more accurate than the car's own speedo...
Haha, but I don't want to change my seating settings. I am being very stubborn, I know.
About the GPS - how does that work? Would I just put it in my car, and it would read out a speed? Does anyone have any recommendations for one? Sorry for all the questions, just a little unfamiliar with all of this stuff. Thanks!

Any cheap GPS should have a setting to display the speed you're traveling (however the MINI nav does not), you'll need to look at the different receivers to see how they display them...
Although the way they work is quite simple, they look at where you were xx seconds ago and where you are now... Then they figure out how long it took for you to go that far and determine your speed that way... Other than power you don't need to connect anything to the car...
