Seriously Botched NCS Expert- Dash Gone Crazy

After upgrading to LED tail lights, I used NCS Expert to get rid of the bulb checks (successfully). I got a bit adventurous and decided to get rid of the seat belt check and add the auto window up/down and sunroof features.

That's when everything went wrong. I have this strange error with a large exclamation point next to an up and down arrows next to a spoiler or the boot. This warning comes on for a minute and goes off continuously, even with my keys out. I'm worried it's going to kill my battery overnight. Also, my gas gauge no longer functions.

I tried restoring all modules according to the instructions listed on the BMW Coding page referenced here. No luck. Not sure if I did it wrong. The instructions are hard to follow.

I also killed my battery in the process of all this. Could that explain why my NCS efforts to restore original settings failed? Does it stop working if the battery is depleted?

Ok, i found some people that listed this same problem in the NCS DIY thread. Something about updating Datens. I will research further in that thread. Sorry for the extra thread here.

WAHOOOOOOO! One man party happening in WI. Updated to V45 from V38, reflashed the KOMBI module and I'm back to square one. What a relief. I was crapping bricks the last 24 hrs. Slowly eroding my risk lovingness.

Glad to know you got it worked out. I've been tempted to take the plunge into NCS Expert and your thread title had me afeared.

Just make sure you read the guides before doing anything and remember, you'll always be safe especially with the NAM community behind you.

Had the same issue with mine. after many attempts, i fortunately coded the Kombi directly from NCS and it kinda stored the right VO into the module.
