Thanks, bmrguy03! I'm back to coding again.

I wiped the (corrupt) code/files out and started fresh with a new NCSExpert package install. I also went back to the original MINI Coding Manual (Part I) by GTECKO and Theta to review the daten update procedure. I believe I may have made either or both of the following mistakes:

1. I did not have a "\R56" folder in the DATEN folder;
2. I should have copied over the contents of the update's "daten", "sgdat" and "edu" folders and not the actual folders themselves.

couper1:

I did not copy over the contents of the "cfgdat" folder in the 51.2 daten update and NCSExpert and INPA seem to be working properly. However, I'm not sure about the other programs (e.g.; Tool32, etc.).

Thanks to all!

Theo

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates - between my health issues and the amount of time I spend working on the Corvette Forums, I don't have a lot of time to spend here these days.

Anyway, here are a few nice surprises for anyone that is stuck with a new re-program and can't code successfully!

New R56/R60/R61 Datens - 52.0.4 and 53.0.5

52.0.4: http://www.mediafire.com/download/rn...ns_v52.0.4.zip

53.0.5: http://www.mediafire.com/download/so...ns_v53.0.5.zip

Excellent! Thanks ϴ.

Can I go directly from 51.2 to 53.0.5 or do I have to apply 52.0.4 first?

I have a question that I don't know that it has been directly answered. If the dealer updates my computer, I know I have to load new datens for the coding to work, but can I use the same files as I used the last time I coded the car, or do I need to pull new files and edit those? Could I pull the new file and load it back with my previously coded file is what I'm asking? Thanks for any help!

In my opinion, you should always pull the current TRC file and then modify it for writing. I am very OCD about making changes so I always want to modify what is already being used by the control modules. I even archive earlier versions of the MAN files and categorize them by datens version. I wasn't kidding about the OCD thing!

Also, chances are that you will make multiple changes to the settings files over time. The FRM module file is a good example of this. By pulling the latest version, you ensure that your previous changes will remain intact after your TRC file is modified and written.

FWIW,

Theo

That makes sense. I just hope I can figure out what I actually changed before to get my TPMS system to turn off so it would stop giving me an error.

Has anyone tried to figure out if there is something that can be changed so that the auto wipers come on when you turn on the car? I just feel like it should be like that anyways, I've had other cars with auto wipers and they usually come on with the car.

I have figured out how to turn off or disable the TPMS warnings. In the KOMBI module change RDC_ALIVE from aktiv to nicht_aktiv.

KOMBI MODULE
RDC_ALIVE
nicht_aktiv

I have also found that when you are getting a TPMS system malfunction warning, it takes a small amount of power away from the car. As soon as I changed this, the car woke back up and had full power again. Also, if you go into the TPMS screen, is will still show that there is a malfunction, but it will no longer give an error because of it. The warning triangle will go away in your tach and the tire warning will go away on your speedometer.

I have no CHAMP, nor HAMP module.
Is this due to the fact, I only have the MINI Boost, not visual boost?

Not all coding works after most recent software update

See if you guys have SL_FKT_MIT_NSW in your FRM modules.

This no longer works with the most current software upgrade from MINI. I've tried it many different ways and it just doesn't work.

This one doesn't work now either...

FRONT FOG LIGHTS ON WHEN WELCOME LIGHT ACTIVATED
WL_NSW
soft_einschalten

all the other programming went fine, just couldn't get those 2 to work...

Any suggestions??

I figured it out! I had to change PWM_NSW_FKT_PARKL from wert_01 to wert_02

So this is what I ended up with and it all worked. Fogs on automatically and on with welcome lighting.

SL_FKT_MIT_NSW
aktiv

WL_NSW
soft_einschalten

PWM_NSW_FKT_PARKL
wert_02

Theta, sorry to hear of your health issues. What you have provided is truly invaluable and I for one appreciate your involvement.

Since we should always use the latest datems, why post 2 different sets? 52.0.4 AND 53.0.5

Two questions:

If I am coding a Paceman and a R57 do I need to load different datens?

On my Paceman this code works with the engine on but not after I turn the car off. Is there another code that will do the same after I stop the engine, start window auto up, open the door and the window continues to close.

"Windows DO NOT Stop Rolling Up When Door Opened
FH_TUERAUF_STOP_MAUT_3R
nicht_aktiv"

I have noticed that since enabling this function the cabin lights will dim slightly when the ambient lights cycle ? Maybe it's drawing additional voltage?

Setting WELCOME_SCENARIO_ACTIVE to aktiv in FRM makes the ambient lighting color come on when you unlock the car and cycle once, then stop at the original color when the door is opened. With WELCOME_SCENARIO_ACTIVE set to nicht_aktiv, ambient lighting is off until the start button is pressed and does not cycle.

Has anyone here added the 25W Xenon Retrofit headlights replacing halogens to their car, if so have you coded using NCS Expert to get them added? I read this post: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...rofit-kit.html and I'm just trying to get a step by step for really easy DIY for the R60.

Does this look like the working cable everyone is talking about? I don't see pin 7&8 soldered together unless I'm looking in wrong spot.
