One more to add to the list:

In the RAD2 module change VOL_TEL_MAX_RAD from "wert_0" to "wert_01" to allow to you turn up the volume higher when using the bluetooth handsfree for telephone calls.

I sometimes found that I couldn't get the callers volume high enough during a call, and this setting definitely helps. Watch out though - you don't want to damage a speaker if someone yells into the phone when you have your volume at max.

There is a a good probability that that one will work because:
1. It looks like it is being sold by someone that is selling other similar products, as opposed to those eBay sellers who sell cables, iPhone covers, everything under the sun.
2. Description looks OK.

However you need to check the seller out more to be more certain.

Ask them non leading questions such as what R56 year models will it work with? rather than asking if it will work on a 2009 R56? Ask if it will work with a SAAB 92? If answer is yes, forget them.

Ask them what support is offered it the system doesn't work and if the system doesn't work how will you convince them that the cable is faulty and how will they rectify the situation.

It's hard enough to get a Mini coding system working without having to deal with knowing whether the cable works or not. So finding a seller that understands the issues is very important.

 

Anyone in St. Louis or So. Ill. wanna meet up and help me changes some of these? Id gladly give you some cash for saving me from having to get the cable.

 

I attended a rally in Las Vegas and there was a person who had all the equipment. It was great, I had a few things programed. Recently, I took my car into the dealer for a brake light problem and they deleted all my programs. So now I'm looking for someone in Southern CA that is knowledgeable about this. Does anyone have any information?

 

I would insist that the dealer put everything back the way it was.

 

Does anyone know or recommend a shop who could reprogram a R56? To do all these very useful tasks?

Sorry if this is already mentioned here but is there a way to enable remote fob closing of the R57 (LCI) convertible roof and windows? I enabled everything related I could find in CAS and CVM but it's not going up.

I did however successfully change the CHAMP2's speaker setup setting from hifi to stereo after retrofitting the HU. Hifi sounds awful if you don't have the sound pack...

Does enabling the Comfort Closing deactivate the pinch guard feature? I'm assuming that's why this wasn't originally enabled in the US.

 

It does not. Either way, just don't stick your hand through the window when it's closing! It's slow enough!

Oh I know. I just noticed that mine has the pinch protection so I was curious if not setting the Comfort Closing in the US was some nannying that our country was doing.

 

That's basically it. Although there was a huge issue with the pinch protection in older (07 ~ 09) cars since in some instances the protection would trigger when the sunroof was extremely hot!

 

Wait wait what's this? I may have experienced this a few days ago which I attributed to age of the car (09), but tell more?

Apparently, my little MINI is far more capable of changing things than I ever thought! Anyone in SoCal with the proper comp and cables to make my R56 do things like keep the fogs on with high beams? Default to fogs on without having to switch them on upon restart? Maybe make the red lights in the rear bumper cover (next to the reversing lights) come on when I hit the brakes? I am computer illiterate, so would be willing to pay for these services. Bring your laptop, your cables, program my MINI.

 

Anyone in the PHX area got a comp and cable, and the inclination to help out?

I'd like, if it's possible, to have the sunroof on my '03 R53 not slide back when opening the windows with the key or remote. If it could just pop the back up, but not slide back, that would be optimal, but if not, if it could just not respond to the window opening command, that'd be great. I'd like to plug the sunroof motor back in so I could pop the back up, but it binds about 1/3 the way back when sliding back, so it'd be nice if I could avoid it doing that via the remote or key when opening the windows....

Hello everyone. I was wondering...... I have NCS Expert, INPA and the proper cables to program my 2006 BMW M6. I was wondering if the software and cables will work in my 2014 Mini Convertible S or is the software and cable any different??

I am trying to find codes to re-animate the exterior mirrors .

They used to fold up on door lock. The Nav screen ask if I wanted to reset,
unfortunately I said yes. Nowthey do not fold from fob.

Any info is helpful . Working on getting cables.
