fog lights or marker lights?

Pardon me if this is answered somewhere else, but I've searched and read around but not found any info.

My new 09 Clubman has just the regular stock lights, no package.
I saw a car on the lot that had a fog light package and it appears the fog lights replace the 5W markers lights in the front bumper with 35W amber fog lights.

Can OEM fog lights be easily fitted in place of the marker lights?

Thanks,
Chris

The fog lights are a completely different item. on a car with fog lights the housing in the bumper has two sections to it. top is marker light bottom is fog light.

Not all cars come with Front Fogs anymore. OR atleast that is the way I have seen them at the dealer recently.

I'll have to take a good picture...

It looks like the bottom half is a clear blank of some sort, it looks like a divided light. I have no switches for fog lights, inside I have two slots unused.

I will take a picture and post it in the next day or so.

I'm bumping this because I have to replace a marker/parking light and thought maybe I'd just install fog lights instead. But it doesn't appear the wiring is present? I'm on a R56; unlike some older models it does have the little 4W light, but not the 35W one for the fogs (fog lamps include the 4W marker but not vice versa).

My car doesn't have the fogs. It just has the parking lights. Only the top 3rd of the lens actually shows light. It's really stupid, but I'm thinking about wiring new lights/lenses into the spot where the OEM lights are.
