Early 2005 R50 Halogens to OEM 02-04 Projector Xenons

Okay, so reading through these forums I've found that many people have gone from changing their stock Halogen headlamps to oem 02-04 Projector Xenon headlamps easily (basically plug and play). That was not the case for me with my early model 2005 MC -- it was the first batch of 2005's and apparently the electrical system is a bit different than others.

I know my 02-04 projectors work because when the car is powered OFF (no key in ignition), I can activate the lowbeams (xenons) when I turn on my high beams, but no light turns on when I normally attempt to switch the lights on.

With the keys in the ignition, in the first position and with car started, if i try to turn on the high beams, the 02-04 headlamps high beams actually turn on instead of the lowbeams. However, nothing happens when I try to turn on the lowbeams on regularly by turning.

I thought I would go to a dealer to have them reprogram my computer, but after taking my car there and speaking to the service manager/technician they both basically told me they've never done anything like this / wasn't sure if it would work. I didn't have $200 to test if it worked so I didn't have them do anything.

After some more reading, I've read that using a capacitor, between the ballast and headlight, to trick my car into thinking there is more wattage into the system from this thread:

What do you think can be the problem?
