Power Steering Fan Mod.

03 MCS

Tired of wondering if I may have to replace my Power Steering again. Tired of wondering if my fan - fuse - relay is blown. Already know I have to replace my low speed on the radiator fan.

So I decided on this little mod.

I ran a manual switch and LED to the cockpit. Simple ran wire from the cigarette light to the green positive wire to the fan.

I now have the option of turning it on when I wise.

I heard my PS fan run the other day for the first time in the DD drive-thru, nice to know it's working.
Not a bad idea jcmini, but I second the Doc's question...how will you know when to turn it on/off?

I would have just run an LED inside to the dash wired to the fan power wire, this way you would know if/when it's on/off, and let the vehicles' electronics cycle it when it's supposed to be.

Mainly turn it on while in traffic.

LED is a nice option. Plan on that as well.
