Rear Fog Ohm Rating?

I want to put resistor on the rear fog connector, but can not find the ohm or watts rating for the bulb.

It is not in the manual and neither parts nor service at the dealership can not tell me. Does nayone here know what it is for a 2009 MC?

I did a search here and came close, but that only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

Thanks,

Jim

The MINI electrical diagrams might help, download this: http://www.mcaw.info/wds/MINITIS.zip
You'll need Java and Adobe SVG viewer on your computer.

The Owner's Manual says the rear fog bulb is "21 watt bulb, P 21 W".

Where in the owners manual did you find that? I read it cover to cover yesterday and did not see it.

Thanks,

Jim

Thanks Oxyblue. I'm sure this will come in handy as soon as I figure out how to open it so I can read it.

If you're trying to avoid a bulb out warning, look at the resistor values that LED vendors use. Superlumination uses about 20 ohms for a 25 watt bulb and it will probably work, or at least a good value to start with.
