What would happen if the bulb-out warnings keeping on...

Dear all:

I changed the parking light to LED and since the day one the bulb-out warnings is on and I just ignore it. ANd I just wander what will happen if I keep ignoreing it? Will the LED bulb damage my Mini?

It will not hurt you car to leave the LED bulb in the car.

The reason the bulb out waring light is on is because the LED light does not draw as much current as a regular bulb.

To get the bulb out light to go out you can add a resistor across the wires at the socket but you must be carefull to get the correct ohm resistor and make sure that it has enough cooling air around it so that it does not bun the plastic housing. They get very hot. The resistor ohm value changes depending on the wattage of the bulb replaced.

Research there are thread here that talk about this.

Thank you very much for you help... I am looking at one of the resistor buy it cost me to much to ship to where I live... I will try to look for them in the hardware store... thank you...
