I pulled the vacuum line off the bottom of the FRP... connected it to a Tee... connected a piece of vacuum hose I bought at Autozone 5/16" O.D. 5/32" I.D. back to the FRP nipple and then connected my gauge line to the third leg of the Tee... but in retropect I think it would have been easier to have tied in at the other end at the nipple on the intake manifold...
I have modified your picture which shows it pretty clearly and saved it to the imageShack... but for the life of me I can't get it to display... argh...
Just finished installing mine after being directed to the DIY in the MODs forum listed as "AutoMeter Boost gauge for $70" (which has been there for quite awhile... and which several people had told me they had successfully followed)...
At this point everything seems to be working fine and I am getting what I think are good vacuum and boost readings as well and nothing abnormal in respect to the cars performance or functioning.
However, I would be interested to know why that install would be considered incorrect... and what the alternative install would be.
