Spark plug removal

Well I just purchased new plugs (Brisk) and was wondering what length and diameter ratchet size I would need. Help

Just to be clear you want to install these when the engine is COLD. Before it is started in the morning is best. And DO NOT install them unless you have a torque wrench that can be set to 20 ft/lbs.

If you don’t know what I mean about the torque wrench you should seriously reconsider installing these yourself.

I use a 5/8 spark plug socket and at least an 8" extension. When I say spark plug socket I mean one with the rubber gromet inside to grip the plug on the way in and out. It's a long way down. Plus one on the torque wrench, these cars sometimes spit out plugs not torqued down correctly.(I think).
I also recomend anti-seaze on the threads and dialectric grease on the inside of the boot.
By the way, are these the 4 prong Brisks or single? If single, be sure to check the gap.

hehe, "mind the gap".... My 5/8" socket wouldn't grasp the plugs so I used a small piece of clay attached to a dowel to get my old ones out. Also, it is pretty dang deep, I had to use a 6" extension so that I could fit the torque wrench without removing the intercooler.

Just twist and pull gently.
You can do it.
