Hand brake light flicker

I only use my hand/emergency brake rarely. Lately the indicator light for it has started going on for a few minutes seemingly at random as I drive. I say seemingly because no matter what, it always comes on at the first traffic light I arrive at on the way to work. I've tried pulling/releasing the brake at a stop to turn the light off but it does not work. Recently, the DSC indicator has started going on/off simultaneously with the brake indicator. This hasn't affected actual driving or performance yet, but is it something to worry about?

Sounds like a loose connection. The DSC motion sensor is located under the center console so potentially your problem is located there. That would explain why one or both lights are coming on at the same time. What the problem might be would be hard to figure out from afar. You might try a simple visual inspection to see if there is an obvious problem and maybe try to reseat the electrical connectors. If you dont feel comfortable then take it into the dealer or your favorite mechanic. Or buy the manual and explore yourself if you are feeling adventurous.
