im actually curious on this..i was interested in buying this for my fog lights since i already have the factory xenon's..(i want the fogs brighter)

**edit**

ok..so i looked it up a bit..and most hid kits come as 35w
and the 55w kits are much hotter and are more intense in output..

so im pretty sure the 35w is just plug and play..
cause my friend bought hids and they were 35w..
in the near future i will be buying these for my foglights and getting the 3000k..

im pretty sure you dont need the adapter but hopefully someone else can chime in..
cause like i said..my friend has had two different hid kits and both were 35w and they worked perfectly fine.

Tiny2, as you know I have this kit. I still don't know what this "adapter" is that you are referring to. Can you link it?

With my 08 (no on board computer) I used the 35W kit with a capacitor connected from the + to - supply wires that go to ballast.

I picked up this kit recently for my fogs and since the original post the price has gone down to $30. The one I ordered is the Raptor 35w, 4500k. Everything is plug and play and very straight forward to install. Light output is much brighter and the light stays low - not scattered up high - so should not have any blinding issues. My only comments are 1) that the ballasts are a bit chunky and in retrospect I'd probably order the slim kit they sell for an extra $10 and 2) the 4500k bulbs are very slightly bluer than the OEM HID headlights. Overall, worthwhile mod for $30.

The DDM HID 35w Fog Light kit was amazing in my opinion. The installation is pretty straight forward. The ballasts are already a slim design which makes mounting so much easier. Mounting is still a challenge. I had to use the sticky pads provided along with some zip ties. I purchased the 35w 6000K set for my 03 R53. It was only $40 (they are still on sale). Only issue I had was the fact that shipping took forever. I haven't heard much about the Raptor set, but I can vouch for the DDM kit. I run 6000K all around and it looks amazing to me.
