I like the smoked headlights without the Hellas, but I think I would like the Hellas without the smoked headlights.

Orrr... you could smoke the Hellas.

Why do your family and friends care enough one way or the other about your Hellas to threaten you, and why do you care enough about their opinion to worry about it?

They look great - enjoy them, smoked or not.

BTW - what wheels are those? I just saw the same ones in person for the first time today, but on a first-gen car.

That's a good point. I wouldn't worry so much about what your friends family think. (Definitely don't worry about what me or anyone else here thinks. ) It's your car. I mean we're all happy to give you our own opinions, but ultimately we don't have to live with the car.

Scott, the wheels are the factory bridge spoke rims. (IMO, the best looking of the stock 16" rims.)

Driving lights also play into the history of Mini's with their rallies. IMO, Mini's without some kind of driving lights, look incomplete(although there's some that look really great without). Also, without the hood scoop, the non-S Mini's tend to look naked up front and driving lights help with that problem.

I would skip the smoked effect but like everything in this post, it's just my opinion.

+1. Stripes helped solve that problem for me on my R50. I had also wanted the driving lights for it, but never got around to it before I sold it.

the smoked hellas is a good step. dont like them like they are... and the covers would look a LOT better w/o all the white somehow...if you use them

i dont particularly care of the tinted headlights.. look too dark like those plastic covers..

so if it were ALL clear thats the best IMO

Those Hellas are sitting up too high. They would have a far more intergrated appearance if you could get them right down on the bumper.

+1. I was actually thinking that it would pretty sweet with the viper stripes.

But in the first pics, your headlights are smoked. I don't care for that look.

IMO - I would keep them both

I have Hella 500's and my only issue with them are their cap/covers. Unless you have a white roof they stand out too much. I painted the white part of my caps with OEM Dark Silver paint. Just masked off the black and used razor blade to trim it off. Now the blend in nicely.

Had to remove them to add the Aero Kit recently, but ordered a set of VIP bracket to mount them which allows me to keep my Aero grills intact...

I realy like the light tint. May do that when my Aesthetic Creations DS headlight surround frames finally show up......

You have a great looking MINI, Fog lights make it look more Euro too.

Those are the OEM driving lamps. A bit too small for my taste, but located in the right spot. One of the honeycomb edges on each side had to be cut out at the bottom of the grille. I think your Hellas will look great if you can lower thm by 2 inches.
