LOL These were never in the plan really ... just came across a really good deal Need to make a mounting bar now though because I don't really like the way the OEM lights mount to the hood.

He's just bitchin cause he doesnt want to cut through the grill.. . Hey Steve...I cant think of any way around how they mount...well, unless you make an angled bracket that attaches to the core support and clear when the hood closes...

Darn, I ordered these from Outmotoring this past weekend and then got a phone call saying they had an inventor error and only had one. No plan for a resupply since they are considering making something locally but it will be at least 6 weeks. I guess I'm back to making something myself.

Outmotoring driving light brackets

I recently ordered the outmotoring Gen1 low driving light brackets for my Hella 500 lights and really liked them, the fit and finish is very nice. 2 things I didn't like were the cheesy alunimum self tapping screw (1 broke) I replaced with stainless steel and the L bracket to secure the top horizontal bracket. The lights are mounted and now I'm looking to see if anyone has wiring instructions so that I can use the factory foglight toggle. If I can use the foglight toggle, can I use the driving lights with out the low/high beams being illuminated?

Thanks,
Mark

The fog toggle tells the BCM to light the fogs, and automatically turns them off when high beams are on - the exact opposite function you want. The fogs will turn on with the running (aka parking) lights.

What is the BCM? Will the driving lights work with the lowbeams illuminated using the foglight toggle?

BCM - Body Control Module Basically, the computer that tells the car what to do. The driving lights *could* work with the low beams, but they would be blinding any driver coming the other way, and the fog toggle does not lend itself to quickly turning them on and off vs. the steering wheel mount high beam switch.

Thanks Eric for all the inputs....I'll post back when I have the lights wired.
