Clear Tail Lights

I just bought a pair of clear tail lights and went to put them on my MINI, and they don't work...

I took the plate which holds the bulbs off the OEM lights and the hold pattern on the new tail light is different. The one on the OEM is in an L shape and are on a little circuit board that hold all three tail lights. The new one doesn't come with that part and the hold pattern is in an I. I didn't realize that the plate was there and thought it was just like most cars where each bulb was wired differently.

Is there a way I can buy a converter to go from the electrical plug from the existing to something that has three separate bulb attachments?

Also, I'd need to buy red and amber lightblubs for these, where could I get those?

Thanx!

You've probably got the 2002 (maybe 2003 even 04) assembly. Not sure what year it changed but I'm sure someone will repsond shortly
