Installed Gomini's 3rd brake light pulsar yesterday. The install was a little tricky, as the '07 does not have as much room near the light as the R53. I had to extend the brake light wires, so that I could mount the circuit board on the left side of the hatch. Results are pretty amazing...I drove down to the beach yesterday, and every time I hit the brakes, the cars behind me really reacted faster than they otherwise would have. The look on many of the driver's faces behind me was priceless. I highly recommend this mod! http://www.gominigo.com/23445.html
Sounds like a very desireable add on to have, I will have to get one. Did you get the 4 or the 6 pulse one? was there enough room to snap the cover back on properly?. I noticed that the instructions were for the 02-06 Mini.

I got the 4 pulse version...installation was a little tricky. There is not room on the R56 to mount the circuit board next to the light. I extended the supply cable, and mounted it below the screw on the left side of the rear hatch. Took about 30 minutes total.
I have this, sitting in the boot, waiting for me to find a half hour and a wire splitter. Can't wait! And I could have used it all week. When the Giants are having home games, the SF embarcadero becomes one massive tailgate fest from all the impatient drivers stuck in traffic...
I like your idea of spliceing and relocating the unit in the left side of the trunk door. I pulled off the trim to check it out. Still pretty tight in there with the existing harness. however the right side door channel has plenty of room in it, (no existing wiring harness). I looked on Ebay and found a compatable unit with adjustable flash rate that will fit, for quite less money. Again thanks for the info.

If possible could you take a picture of your placement, have it on order and would like to prep the wiring(extend), so when it arrives its a quick connection....thanks............
Just installed mine yesterday. Kind of reassuring. .03% more visible to the small number of high-riding vehicle operators happening to actually observe objects at speed beyond their windshield. HA
Just ordered a 6 pulse and was wondering if anyone has installed one on an 06?

I went for the 4 only because it makes the pulse on every brake depression, so if you were in a stop and go situation, it's just a lot of pulsing... I thought the shorter the pulse burst, the better. But I doubt there's any real functional difference!
Just installed the 6 Pulsar on our 06 MCS. The installation was very easy and only took about 45 minutes since I was a bit more cautious than usual. After the first ops check, I was amazed at the effectiveness of the Pulsar--WOW. I look forward to the reaction of the tailgaters. This is one accessory that I should have installed on day one. Ordered the Pulsar on Friday and received it yesterday--great service and customer support by Gominigo.

I saw one advertised that is designed not to repeat in stop and go traffic. (It has a delay between "performances"). Now, if I can only remember where I saw it.......

Test drove the 6 Pulsar after installing it this morning (it was an easy install). Man--What a difference! The tailgaters are really backing off. I should have installed this mod when I first purchased our MCS. I too highly recommend this product as a real safety of driving modification.

Moss Mini has the brake light pulser with a delay for stop and go traffic. There is a 15 second delay between activations. I have ordered it and will let you know how the install and operation go.

Got mine today. 6 pulse, put it in in about 30 minutes. The hardest part was cutting the wires , It's just a thing with me. It like the point of no return. cut the wires and your committed.
Glad I did it.
Installed my Brake light Pulser yesterday, tried it out this morning in town traffic. Noticed that cars seem to keep a more respectable distance from me around traffic lights. Definately gets their attention. Will do more investigation.

LOL... you guys are doing something wrong if you have tailgaters. Since I've gotten Edgar, I go too fast for anyone to try to ride my butt.
I hear You, but some day one of those jacked up Pick Up truck or suv with a driver on a cell phone may sandwich you at a stop light. Your acceleration or speed wont protect you there . Any pre- warning we low profilers can give these idiots is a plus for us,

Yes, but if you have JCW or Brembo brakes, the cell phone yackers and soccer moms trying to keep order in the rear seat will still try to park in your rear seat. The Pulsar might wake them out of their comas.
Installed the Pulsar this weekend. Took less than ten minutes on my '02.

It's interesting to note that the MINI actually has a taller profile than most luxury sedans. The roof line of my wife's Acura Legend sits 4 inches below that of the MINI.
Yes it is, but for some reason they always ride my butt, maybe its the length of the car and the hatchback design.
I feel the same way. It may be that because the rear window is so much closer than on a car with a real trunk, that they appear to be closer. It's funny, I have driven an X5 for 6 years, prior to getting the MINI, but since I've been driving the MINI, I have grown to hate SUV's, and SAV's.
I received the Pulser from Moss Mini. I have a question: On the 2007, there are two wires coming out of the 3rd brake light unit, a brown one and a yellow one. Does anyone know which goes where? Thanks!

The 06 has a brown and yellow wire extending from the wiring harness. It then attaches via a plug to a socket on the light. From that socket two wires are soldered to the light itself-one black-one red. The pulsar atached to the red and black wires. Don't know if this helps you on the 07.
