Tail of the Dragon, 318 turns in 11 miles, = 28.9 turns per mile.
I am sure the Snake is a awesome road, better than anything around here but i dont know about rival the Dragon
Three times as long it should have three times the turns.(954)

- Printed out hard copies of the Driving Directions for most of the route suggestions in this thread, one handout for each MINI
- Tonight -- check air in tires, round up detailing stuff, finish one last load of laundry, add out-of-office notifiers to email accounts, etc.
Really close now!

You'll have to get that info from the matriarch of our group (i.e., Sandy). Last Sunday she said she'd identified the best path to avoid traffic. My plan is to blindly follow along.

Just can't believe that we missed you all by one week. We came up from Panama City, FL and stayed in Chattanooga on Monday, the 21st and drove up to Maryville, then down US 129 through the Dragon. It was fantastic, lots of bikers, then I noticed that Harley more or less sponsors it. Very nice road, then we extended further on and back to Chattanooga that night. It's a wonder that we didn't meet each other as we traveled back to Iowa, but then we went up from St. Louis on Friday, so you guys probably were on I 74 and went that way. We've gotten tired of that direction, and took the Southern Illinois route back.
I'm going to have to keep track of your trip down there, as Olga would like to spend more time in the Chattanooga/Knoxville area of Tennessee. It's neat area, and definitely not as hot as it was in Florida. I will have the F56 JCW then, and it should be interesting with it to compare between the R59 we have now. Keep me on your mailing list, but the way that I am I'd probably miss it anyway, like this year. Glad you all had a great time this year, though.
