EIM 4th Annual "Spring has Sprung" Meet-n-Eat -- March 26th
The 4th Annual EIM "Spring has Sprung" Meet-n-Eat will take place on Saturday, March 26th at its traditional location in Cedar Rapids -- the Granite City Food and Brewery located right across 1st Ave from the Lindale Mall.
Rendezvous time is 10:30 am. We will plan to park where we always do, lined up on the northeast edge of the lot adjacent to Collins Road -- Marion Bypass (see the event calendar entry for an aerial pic). We'll have some good photo ops and socializing prior to lunch, which will start at 11:00 am.
We're working on a special guest appearance -- so stay tuned to this thread for further details.
We'll also have updated info available on our first local drive of the year in April, plus get excited about those heading out to the Black Hills in May.
****The RSVP link -- and more information -- can be found in our EIM Event Calendar Entry (<-- link). Please visit.****
C U there!

The REAL burning question is: Will our MINI wanna-be "mystery friend" make an surprise guest appearance for the fourth year in a row?

We'll miss you...have fun down in KC. BTW, I finally did hear back from Jason so if you helped stimulate the response the effort is appreciated.

Welcome, Cindy! We will be eager to meet you on Saturday. You and your new MINI will be a welcome addition to our group. We have lots of fun throughout the year. You found the best MINI group in the Midwest, or maybe the whole country

Here are some pictures from yesterday's Meet-n-Eat at Granite City:

With the background noise in the pub and being somewhat spread out, we didn't have much of a chance to interact as a large group in the restaurant -- and it certainly was a bit too nippy to loiter outside. So here's a recap along with some things I wanted to say but didn't have the chance:
- First, happy to see the good turnout on such a chilly day, and a warm EIM welcome to our first-timers Cindy, Paul and Deborah, Chris and Anne, and Pat and Diana
- Really great to see deanman and oldsbear back and fully functional!
- Greatly appreciate Dave Wolfe, Lori Zircher, and Nick Westergaard joining us from the Willis Auto Campus - MINI of Des Moines (MoDM) team, sponsoring the prize raffle for us, and sharing their MINI and MoDM wisdom. Thanks much for supporting us!
-- Dave wanted me to pass on to everyone that the MoDM Official Grand Opening is in their plans for Thursday, May 5th. Also, the Coralville Premiere Event (similar to last year) is planned for Monday, May 16th.
- Thanks to Janice for joining us and keeping us posted on what's coming up for the new Central Iowa MINI Club in Des Moines
- We'll be sending out info soon about the Barn Quilt Drive on April 16th -- but go ahead and block off that day to go MINI motoring
See ya soon...

Love the pictures, Gary! It sure is nice to finally know who the owner is of that El Camino.
Nice line-up of MINI colors in the lot. I am just sorry I couldn't be there to complete them with the best color ever
I am glad to see Deanman and Oldsbear looking so good! I can't wait to see you all in April
