The Holy Cross Parade is Saturday August 8th. There is no need for us to preregister. I wouldn't mind having a general idea of how many MINIs may be coming. The parade begins at noon. Line up begins at 10:30. We can meet at our building (Opening Specialists, Inc) again this year. It is at 430 Main Street (south side of Hwy 52). We have a hose available for touch ups on our cars.
After the parade there is a BBQ and an auction with all proceeds going to our town Athletic Club. The auction usually has a wide variety of items. Homemade wines are very popular. Our local commercial wineries (Park Farm Winery, Stone Cliff Winery) also donate. There is usually everything from farming goods to Limousine services.
There are some large inflatables for kids to play in and little games and face painting, too.
Later in the evening there is a street dance. I think this year's band is called Jabber Box.
Everyone is welcome to stop at my house after the parade. There will be food and beverages (broasted chicken, ham sandwiches). We live right on Main Street in the block they close for the day. We always have a group of people over and a few more would be welcome. The more the merrier! We have outside games like bean bag toss and the ladder game. We also have a foosball table and a pool table.
When planning your route to Holy Cross be aware that Holy Cross Road between Farley & Holy Cross is closed! Unless they work a lot faster in the next 3 weeks than they have in the last year it will still be closed that day.
Our MINIs were a big hit last year. I don't think we can out number the tractors but it would be fun to have a bunch of us in the parade!

Well this rain could go away, can't get Walt washed at all in this. Just have to show up dirty and wet and wipe him down at Holy Cross in time for the parade....if the parade is still on that is.haha.

Supposed to stop raining . Keep your fingers crossed!
With the high clouds and the cool drafts from the showers earlier in the morning, the weather could not have been more perfect. I think we were in the only small part of the state that wasn't sweltering.
Linda and Tom, a thousand sincere "thank-yous" for all of your hospitality and for opening up your home for the group. The banquet was bountiful and an unqualified epicurean delight! The ad hoc car wash was a blessing. Your thoughtfulness and generosity helped make it a great day for everyone.

We really appreciate you driving all the way here to our little town parade. Unfortunately we didn't out number the tractors., but 10 MINIs is a pretty good turn out!
