It was fun motoring with everyone! I especially enjoyed our creative "work-arounds" after stumbling into the road closures on CR-P and WI-80. (We need to remember Sand Hill Rd, Dugway Rd, and Pikes Peak Rd for the next time out.)
It was also utterly fantastic to cross paths with Mike and Maria at the intersection of CR-N and WI-133 after we thought we'd lost them for good in the maze of back roads! That was great!
Lunch in Spring Green with the Chicago folks was great too. Supper in Dubuque (vice Mineral Point) was a great call - thanks Linda and Tom!
I took some life off my tires that day. It was sure worth it!

The Alphabet Soup drive had been in my head for weeks, so after we toured the John Wick Homes factory in Mazomanie on July 30, there was no place to go but the alphabet roads.
I never did figure out how to extract and modify the route from the GPS files, Gary, but Maria was a great navigator, with Delorme Atlas in hand. Thanks to your comments I looked up road closures on the WI DOT site. We put in a good 75 miles on Thursday afternoon, and another 75 on Friday morning.
Maria was busy navigating, and tolerating being thrown around (What a kid she is!). The Garmin Nuvi should have been nailed down, but Lolly would not allow it, so the toy flew across the dash instead. Such fun.
I promise that I was driving safely, except for the moment when Maria replied, "Yes! (That's the turn!)" about 50 feet before the turn. Lolly scuffed her shoes a little on that one.
"Safely" means that there were no close calls with people or vehicles, and I slowed very quickly for the fawn crossing the road. One large insect definitely died, however, while exploring my windshield.
