EIM "Meet and S-cream, Part Trois" - Wilton, IA, June 6th
Eastern Iowa MINIs will be meeting for ice cream and other assorted goodies at the Wilton Candy Kitchen in Wilton, IA on Saturday, June 6th at 1:00 pm.
After our ice cream we will take a leisurely motor together through the countryside into nearby Muscatine, where we will park at the Muscatine Riverside Park and check out the many adjacent antique stores as well as the Muscatine History and Industry Center -- all within a couple of blocks of the Park.
The Wilton Candy Kitchen is housed in an 1856-era building and is considered to be the oldest continuing ice cream parlor/soda fountain in the nation. George Nopoulos and his wife Thelma have doled out the treats and good cheer for decades. Check out this review from American Profile.
****We need to give Thelma and George a good number, so please let us know if you're planning to join us by clicking on the RSVP link in the EIM NAM Calendar entry here: Meet and S-cream, Part Trois****
Hope to see you there!

HI all...I posted a few pics from the event yesterday in the EIM Website Gallery.
It was great to see everyone. Unlike the morning hours, it was nice that we were able to enjoy good weather while in Wilton and Muscatine. The ice cream was fantastic -- as always.

Excuse me now, I need to go wash my MINI.
I am going to hold off washing until Wednesday due to the rather large forecast of rain

I think mine actually has the luxury of not needing to leave the garage for a couple of days so I did the works this afternoon...it might actually stay clean for a little bit.
