Hey gang, I'm cranking up this thread because (1) I've heard interest expressed by folks in our group about participating in this year's MINIs in the Mountains #4 (MITM4) event out at Copper Mountain, CO; and (2) the official MITM4 registration site opened today! The official dates are 5-9 August.

This sounds fun! Who's thinking about going? And what days would they attend? (per MOTD 09 not everyone goes for the whole time some are there 1st cpl days some are there for the last cpl days (like I was)). Please advise anyone?

Not sure who all is thinking about heading out there. We'll try to canvas the group at the next couple of local meets and get a better idea.
I believe MITM is a bit shorter end-to-end than MOTD, but I think just about right. There are so many awesome mountain roads to check out, you really do need at least three days to give it an honest effort.
I think the ideal evolution would be to travel out so that you arrive at the resort early Thursday morning. Spend Thursday getting to know folks, detailing your MINI, meeting all of the on-site vendors (maybe having an install done), and hook up with an ad hoc group for a local drive or two. Friday is typically a big group drive (though I don't see anything specific on the schedule for this year) and the BBQ that evening. Saturday has more motoring, the organized group photo, and the Sponsor/Vendor Banquet which is definitely worth the price of admission. Motor home on Sunday.
This is usually touted as the single best organized MINI event of its size. You won't be disappointed if you go.
