Not 100% committed, but I also have a serious hankering to make this trip too. The pics that Linda and Tom took when they were up there earlier this year really whetted my appetite...

I too, have this on my calendar. I'm 95% sure I will be going. It looks super fun! I'm VERY disappointed that I can't do that fabulous Border Skirmish next fall, so I'll have to enjoy the thrills of the hills instead.

What if we shifted the date up one week (to Oct 10th)? Does that work better for you?

That would work fine for me, but once you start shifting dates around to meet everyone's calendar, you're asking for trouble. But thank you!

Well, no one else has cried "uncle" and besides, this event is almost a year away. If it were earlier in the year I'd be more concerned with jerking folks around, but I can't imagine there are too many schedules that are locked into such a level of detail that far away. You get bonus points for thinking ahead. Plus, you are a frequent participant and as such deserve a bit of extra accommodation.

If D3m0N concurs with the proposed change, I will move the Border Skirmish to October 10th. The leaves will probably be closer to peak color then anyway.

Updated the Event Calendar in Post#1 with new links for the High Plains Motoring event planned for May 15-17. The NAM Calendar Entry link provides another link that allows you to "sign up" for this event.

Looks like the planning for this event is putting some nice meat on the bones.

East Meets West

The online registration is now open, but before you pay, please be aware that your EIM friends are in the early stages of planning which may help reduce the cost. Stay tuned for details!

Hey EIM gang, we've been invited by Dustin of the Chicago MINI Driving Group (CMDG) to join in their fall annual Galena Event which is scheduled to occur on the weekend of September 19-20. As of now, we have Autotoyz 2 in Iowa City on the calendar for Sept 19th but have no bona-fide driving events during that month.

How would you all feel about rescheduling Autotoyz 2 and adding this Galena event to our calendar? Any preferences for a new Autotoyz 2 date? (October 24th might be a good candidate since it fills an existing hole.)

Thanks.

Works for me, 19-20th is always bad for us since its our Anniversaries and Birthdays and all that weekend and we are usually in Dubuque or gone that timeframe.

By popular demand, the CMDG Galena Event is now on our schedule for September (see Post #1). Autotoyz 2 in now Saturday, Oct 24. I also added a link to the infant Chicago MINIs thread for the River City MINI Rally in June.
