R53 Super Damper, WAY better Alternative

Way Motor Works has seen several Harmonic Engine Damper failures on the 02-06 MINI Cooper S. It doesn't seem to matter what year your car is, but statisticly it was more 05-06 pullies to fail. Most of the cars where towed into our shop, so a tow bill has come with the repair cost. We finally got an alternative and started using them. Testing it and even using it on our racecar to make sure it would stand up to customer use and abuse. The ATI Super Damper has become the best solution. It is a elastometer style damper, designed to dampen better than the OEM, and also slightly lighter.

WMW has them in stock and ready to ship. I'll be posting pics of some of the pullies that came apart later.

Thanks for the great service.

Just thought I'd bump this with a note that we now have an exclusive 2% overdrive ATI Damper to give you that little extra and keep a damper on the engine.

Way have you seen any lightweight aftermarket crank pulley failures?
Would you recommend changing these for the ATI damper?
Thanks

I've seen a few different lightweight crank pulley failures. Either the spokes broke on them or they worked loose. I'd replace the aluminum one with this just to save my engine bearings.

The rubber on the damper comes apart and the pulley becomes two peices.

Sorry guys I am going off topic. Way I sent you 3 personal messages and 1 email last week about the order I want to place on the SB, Powerflex bushes and the tensioner stop. So far I have not had any reply. Please let me know if I can purchase these parts from you or if you cannot help then please let me know that I can start sourcing elsewhere. Thanks.

Thought I'd post a pic of 2 recent stock dampers that came apart. The top one is an 02-04, the bottom one is the 05-06 style I lost the actual pulley part that came off of it.

Thought I'd bump this since we've had two 05 MCS's come in with broken crank pullies this week. If your car starts going into limp mode and you smell burning rubber, stop otherwise you may damage the front timing cover.
