Lets face it many of our beloved R53 Cooper S's are getting a little old. With age and mileage on your car comes time to fix, repair or just maintain. Why just fix or repair when you can upgrade and improve?
That way of thinking is why we are introducing this tune up and performance package.
hey everyone.. im new here, i just purchased a 2004 mini cooper s. i want to get around 300 hp out of it.. also i want it very dependable.. what steps do i need to take.. thanks
Hi selimsaim,
Thanks for the question! 300hp is basically doubling the horsepower out of your car. To get that much horsepower expect to get alot of custom work done. Engine upgrades, probably a turbocharger swap/ twurbo it, and clutch/drivetrain modifications to handle the power will be needed. While there are a few 300hp MINIs out there, I am not sure if they are dependable as I don't know those cars personally. What is your overall plan for your car? Please PM me if you have further question!
Adam, can you please help me with weather an engine is turbo or supercharged. I am looking buy a 2008 cabrio and company swears it is a turbo but by the picturess I think it's supercharged. It has the air radiator on top of the engine. Turbos are in front right.
Thanks in advance
That's a great package you have setup. Very interesting in purchasing for my Mini. What type of power can be expected from this combo?
Thank you for asking!
The answer will depend a bit on the state of your car. If it has a lot of miles, the coil pack and wires are deteriorating, etc. then it might be as much as 40 WHP.
Assuming those are in reasonable shape currently, then 30 WHP.
The pulley itself will add 25+ WHP!
This will be a night and day difference in power and sound on your otherwise stock MCS!
Please feel free to PM me, email or post any other questions. Happy to help!

How much would the shipping be to Fort Wainwright, AK 99703?

Hello, I am new to mini and I recently purchased a 2005 mcs with 63,000 miles on it. At the time everything seems well with the car. I am interested in getting a quote for this package shipped to Grand Haven, Michigan 49417. I don't really need the power gain but I would like to know if this package in itself is healthier for the engine or if there is no difference. I would also need to get a tensioner belt tool along with the pulley tool for the supercharger. Any information would be greatly appreciated as I plan on keeping my car for many years. Just trying to figure out weather it is worth spending the money. Thanks Jeff

Trust me this IS worth getting for ANY Cooper S R53 model. The list of parts combines some maintenance as well as performance. Wakes up the car tremendously!
This remedies the notorious issues with the stock ignition system, prevents crank pulley damage and again makes a huge increase in HP!
Any ECU software upgrades recommended with this set up? I've got a 2005 Cooper S with 24k on the clock. Only engine mod is a CIA.
Thanks!
Erik
Thanks for asking Erik,
The honest answer is ECU tuning isn't needed or required. The pulley, intake combo works great with the stock ECU mapping. The pulley forces the car to run a bit leaner, increasing HP, and most clients report better fuel economy on the hwy too.
You can add a new map to the car if you choose, but again not necessary at all!
