It depends - do a search on 19% and you'll get lots of opinions.
No new info in the last few months.
Reader's digest version:
19% good if you don't rev too high too long and want low end torque

There have been literally hundreds of threads about this. I'm betting that it's imposible for you to come up with a question that hasn't been answered regarding sc pulleys.
I have been looking through the threads for this but i never get a straight answer.. And i understand that it's more for low end. What would you say was the highest rpm i could rev to be for it would start being a problem?

depends what you consider a problem. I have a 19% and bring it up to 7200 everyday. However there is a point where the charge is superheated and power is not lost but hindered. I would say that starts around 6500 for my car. I would like to install a 17% and compare dyno runs.

You're not going to get a straight answer. There are guys out there with 70k or more miles on a 19% pulley. There are well-respected tuners that think they're too dangerous. If you ask 10 people on here you'll get 12 opinions.
Bottom line as I see it: There are theoretical risks from spending long amounts of time at redline, but almost everybody who's thrashed their Mini with a 19% (me included) has had no trouble.
Read through as many threads as you can stomach. If you search "rpm" and "pulley" you'll find at least 10 in the last month. Make up your own mind. I don't mean to be too harsh, but this subject has been beaten past to death.
Caveat Emptor.

i have been hearing mixed feelings about it.. Whats your feelings???
For me it's simple. Hardly anyone has had any issues with a 15% pulley. Many more people have had problems with a 19% pulley. This car is my daily driver, I need it to be reliable. I can't be breaking belts like crazy. I can't be melting SC's. I need to be able to depend on my car.
15% Pulley = 13-16 whp 10-12 ft lbs of torque starting a bit higher in the RPM band
19% Pulley = 13-16 whp 10-12 ft lbs of torque starting lower in the RPM band.
Most people feel that the 19% generates so much more heat that it negates any benefits of spinning the SC faster. That with the greater risk of breaking belts is what sealed the deal for me.
19%'s are prone to slippage of the belt . but i think webb developed a bigger idler pulley to add some contact to the 19%'er by making the belt wrap around it more .
Well I got my alta 2.0 19% S/C pully instaled today drove up to P.A and had Helix do it.. Exelent service. Had it done in 2 hours.. The trip home was funn minus the rain. Loved the low rpm gains...
If you mostly drive around town or highway miles, and dont redline the car often, if at all, then the 19% should be just fine.
I love mine! The only thing I wish I'd done now is get the 15% and 4% combo, cause changing out the Crank pulley is easier than the supercharger pulley. That's for damn sure!
