can stock 330s handle this
I am getting a RMW tune in April. Am debating to cough up the money for the 380 injectors or stick with the stocked mini 330s. Currently have 17% pulley K&N cai brisk plugs and getting milltek exhaust. So what would 380s get me? Or will the stocked injectors hold just fine? Advantages? Disadvantages? Thanks

I'm getting a new supercharger put on with a 17% pulley. I have a CAI and that's the only mod that I have done to the engine. I am going to add 380 injectors because I would imagine that the added mods need more fuel quicker. There is a lot of information on this in the forum sections. That is my thoughts on the subject.

I have an 03' JCW R53 with the dealer installed 200hp JCW Kit.....JCW head, JCW exhaust, JCW200 tune, and I've added a pipercross intake, and went with a smaller 17% pulley...it makes around 16psi boost, and seems to make awesome power.
By the way...the 200hp JCW kits use the same 330cc "S" injectors..and I haven't had any issues.....if that tells you anything
I am getting ready to upgrade to 380cc injectors though....not really sure I need to, but they were cheap enough...so why not.
If you look at the last page of the 380cc injectors thread.....I put a link on there for brand new Bosch 380cc injectors for $25 each.....can't beat that!

RMW/Jan told me that my jcw380's were actually a bit small for my mods...basicly a 17% and a CAI.....tuned to just about 200 HP...said with bigger, I could have gotten a "bit more" at wot..but for my driving style, they are perfect....
Been very happy with the tune...nice drivability increase...the extra tq made drive in town much nicer!!

have your car running 100% before you tune....
so frrsh oil, plugs, filter, etc....
if you try to tune with an ongoing issue, you can mask the cause....making fixing it very hard, and possibly needing a retune.....
some folks swear that race fuel helps a tune...my suggestion...tune on the fuel you will run, be it 91 or 93......and be honest with what you want...talk to jan...a good safe tune is one thing, a race tune, closer to limits to help you on the track is another, more bragging rights, but more risk...
be honest...if your car is weak...a tune might be waste of $$.....

Thanks Zippy. I'll make sure to do a check list. Yeah a conservative tune is my approach. Don't plan on any track days but want to be able to play on the local back roads. And turn some heads in town.
I have been reading about 100k maintenance on the coopers. Not going to lie, has me kind of nervous with possible super charge oil change and pump. Might as well get all the kinks out at once if I go in. Anyone do a 100k maintenance schedule? I feel like I got my mini at unfortunate miles of 90000.

Check the R53 general forum...there is a 100K maintenance post on there right now that is pretty active....
If it was me, I would spend the money on getting all of that stuff taken care of (suspension, bushings, ball joints, belt, belt tensioner, brakes, oil leaks......) before dumping a ton of money on a tune for the engine. You are not going to hurt anything running a 17% pulley and exhaust with a stock tune...

Bigger injectors on a bog stock R50, any point?
Noob here, so please pardon my ignorance.
I've an 03 R50. Will increasing the injectors net any hp gain? Thinking of going the one ball route also, though was advised to research the resonator delete as an alternative.
Any wisdom for me?
Thanks,
Neil

Since your car, R50, is not supercharged and you are not increasing the amount of air being pushed into the engine larger injectors would not be needed.
