Exhaust resonator delete opinions

Looking into having the resonator removed for improved sound. Havn't heard any in person on a MCS but on some videos it sounds like a nice change. Any cons to doing this? I've heard some say there can be some drone at 70+ mph but that was about the only negative. I don't want the car to be loud, just more aggressive sounding. In don't want to draw tons of attention. My exhaust is currently stock. Anyone put their 2 cents in?

I say go for it. You can always put it back if it's not to your liking.

I think I'm going to. I see you also have the 2nd cat removed. Does that change the exhaust sound even more or is that for just less restriction of the exhaust? Does having the 2nd cat removed put you at risk for failing an emissions test? thanks

Both actually. When I did mine, I had the cat and res done at the same time. 2nd cat isn't monitored so that shouldn't be an issue.

There are several videos that cover this on YouTube. I could list them, but this link will lead you in the right direction.

I plan on doing this mod tonight and will do a before/after...

I don't know personally as I had both taken off at the same time. I think that's the way to go Just imo.
