New belt tensioner rattle with a/c on

Need any info why a new belt tensioner will rattle with the a/c on? I have a new belt with a 15% pulley installed . Also have a tensioner stop bracket.

Where'd you get the new tensioner? I have a rattle as well but not sure exactly where it is coming from. Could be from the gates tensioner replaced about 6mo to a year ago. My idle sucks though.

I have a new Gates brand tensioner installed. I also have a Alta 15 percent pulley along with the tensioner stop bracket. After looking into it, I found that the metal tab inside the spring on the tensioner was making the rattle along with the tensioner bracket. I bent the top of the metal tab slightly over and had to bend the tensioner stop bracket also. The rattle stopped on the tensioner.....but the tensioner stop bracket has a slight rattle....you can't hear it with the hood closed. It's a lot better now.....compared to before when it sounded like something was about to break off. I read about the gates tensioner making the same noise and they said it was the same metal tab as mentioned above. Hope this helps....
