Not quite sure on Pulley Removal

Alright, so i ordered my R53 Alta Underdrive pulley, plugs and respectively smaller belt. Now the question is, can i do the job with just the Pulley Belt tool or do i need the tool to remove the factory pulley as well? I've read a few installation write ups and it appears mixed on whether or not the factory pulley needs the special tool or not.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Get the puller, then sell it on here for most of your money back. If you purchase the pulley kit from waymotorworks they will give you a discount on the puller. It's a must have to get the oem pulley off.

You'll need both the belt tool, and pulley puller. The best option is the Craven Quick Puller, but it is a buy it once use it once type of tool. (Unless you're working on the W11 engines professionally)

We rent the puller and belt tool both, but we currently have all of our pullers rented out.
