Emm? Did you have to splice any wires?

Get some dielectric grease for the connections. It will help lube them up so you can feel them snap in place as well as protect them from moister.

Recheck the connections.

If that doesn't fix it, remove the fuel injector that is paired with cylinder 3 and move it to another cylinder. Drive the car. If the misfire follows the fuel injector, it's likely a bad injector. This is the problem with used injectors.

This is also true... but it could be a stuck injector due to it sitting as well. I dont remember reading the history on the injectors you bought. But if they just came out of a car and sat they could have dirt and crap in them.

You could run some IPA through the fuel rail or change the fuel filter and run a 1/4 tank of E85. You could run it prior but I dont know the history of your car. Either or change the fuel filter after the E85. This will purge the injectors if you run them steady throughout your rpm scale.

If you can find someone that is a supplier of methanol fuel even better. Ours is like six bucks a gallon for a gallon of methanol fuel.

Terrific. Reset the ECU, and let us know how they feel in a few days.

Are you sure they are seated all the way on both sides?

If not lube both orings and reinstall.

Ya seated correctly lubed with oil I think intercooler sits at an angle... This wouldn't be an issue had I got the genesis that did not need the adapters but the injectors I have are ford stamped and use the uscar adapters

Would you be able to raise the IC up a tiny tiny bit to help clear them? Maybe a washer under each footing?

Happy to say everything is running great and smooth

So genesis injectors work!!! However I would opt for the ones they sell now the ones that don't look like mine, so you don't run into the troubles I did

Now I'm gona have way give me one of his quick tunes for the 380cc injectors

On ways site it cost $270 including shipping

Right on. Enjoy

I'm gathering together some discontinued 380cc injectors that Siemens made a few years back; these were also popular in the 1.8T crowd, used by Revo in their stage 2 programming, and sold by USRT until Siemens stopped making them.

After I do an ECU reset I like to take her out on the highway for a while. Run her thru the gears but do it in a fashion where I take it through the rpm's slower. Not like grampa slow but ramp it up slow enough to listen to the exhaust and engine notes and get a feel for how things feel. Normally only do it in first, second, and third, then run it at highway speeds in fourth and shift down and pull to the side of the highway and start over again. Do that a few times. Then I pull over the highway and drive around normal and then get back on a longer highway turn on and don the same thing but faster. I just think it gives the ECU more information to run with so when it does come time to stomp on it things move.

Just tuned In

Great info, ignitionmodule? Did you ever get any stock injectors to test?
My car is down at the moment, I have a set of stock R53 and a set of JCW 380 I would lend out for testing

I'm the one that offered to test them.

The offer stands.

Not yet.

We may already have test data here, work has just been busy and I haven't had time to dig through the "newer" data. It doesn't seem to be as organized as the older stuff. Probably I can get to it this week.

While finding what specs Standard Motor Products built their 380cc injectors to is useful (seeing as though they're being pitched as a suitable replacement part), all we really need is one JCW and one base R53 injector, and a comprehensive bench testing done.
I'd be glad to pay for it if someone can provide the donor injectors (dhabutcher )

I would not be pulling SMP injector data. We have to test every competitor injector that we offer a substitute for. What I haven't had time to look for yet is if we have flowed a batch of JCW injectors.

I'd be interested in seeing that.

Siemens Deka themselves, VDO, and multiple major Siemens vendors have been shutting me down regarding my requests for spec sheets. I have a friend at Keeler MINI working on it now; we'll see if he can offer any additional info.
