Drivetrain Scorpion headers.

Scorpion headers.
Has anyone heard of them? Searches only come back with the cat back system. Same with YouTube. From what I understand, they have a cat in them. I'm just looking for basic info.
Price.
If the cat is decent.
If it throws codes.
Fit and finish.
Any insight would be appreciated.

I have the cat back exhaust system as well as the sport manifold on the way (aka header) My header will be here on monday April 8th and I expect my exhaust a few days later. I am certain it will throw codes from my O2 sensors so I am planning a dyno tune for once I have everything installed. I am putting on an Alta CAI, Alta 15% pulley and new belt, Scorpion exhaust, and Scorpion Sport Manifold with High Flow Cat. I am also planning to do an oil change on my supercharger while I'm at it.

Just do a search you should be able to get then easily, summit, jegs, any place like that.
Basicly the concept of why spacers some time work is because in a 2 sensor system, (pre & post cat) the sensors not only read gasses & such, they are designed to read a variation in levels between the 2, this tells the ECU that the CAT is working properly, by spacing one or the other back/out slightly it causes the sensor to read slightly different.
Not a guarenteed fix, but they are not expensive & it may just be beneficial to have on hand.

Thanks so much BlwnAway and mgrant...I went down to the auto parts store and explained to the shop guru what I was doing and half way through my explanation he stopped me and walked me down to the spark plug non-foulers. He said he did the same thing to a civic he had. You can use a non-fouler to do the same job as an O2 spacer and it only costs you a few bucks (I think mine set me back $6). He said it'll stop the code from coming up but I do plan on having my car tuned over the summer so I'm just going to use it as a temporary fix for the rear O2 sensor. Thanks for all the pointers guys! I can't wait to start installing now

By putting a sparkplug fouler in between the secondary and the bung it allowed the sensor to be removed slightly from the exhaust stream, which would trick the car in to thinking that there was a cat installed and it was operating properly. It was an easy $5 option!

Wanted to keep you guys all posted on the Scorpion install. Everything went pretty smoothly. We just dropped the entire exhaust all at once seeing how the bolts that connected the down pipe from the header to the long pipe for the cat back were rusted on there. I will say that before you start this project that you should go and pick up new bolts and nuts for the down pipe as well as a new gasket. Scorpion or Bavarian Auto Sport doesn't provide you with any new hardware. Also you are probably going to want to pick up a new lower O2 sensor as mine was also rusted in place. The cat in the manifold is HUGE but it fits in the car perfectly. I was able to avoid throwing any codes from my ECU by using a spark plug non fouler on the lower O2 sensor. My car runs just fine and dandy without a tune. I plan on posting a tread soon about the whole install once I get an after install vid. I absolutely love the full scorpion exhaust. Its a nice mellow sound when you're just driving around but when you get on it she can sure scream! It doesn't sound ricey at all. Which is exactly what I was looking for.

In the departments its under "Exhaust" then "Performance Exhaust Systems". The Scorpion header has no picture but its titled "Scorpion Sport Manifold With High Flow Catalytic Converter"
Bavarian Autosport ships really REALLY fast. I think it only took 4 days for me to get my header.

You will love it just make sure you pick up some new nuts and bolts, exhaust gasket, and O2 sensor before you get started. Other than that it's pretty much a breeze. You might only need the O2 sensor as you have already have the catback exhaust on so you're bolts should be pretty rust free and you'd have recently put a new gasket on. The lower O2 sensor is probably rusted on to your downpipe so just save yourself the headache and by one before you get started. Also if you want to avoid throwing an engine code pick yourself up a spark plug non fouler that'll fit your O2 sensor. It works like a charm. My car doesn't have an engine light lit up and its running just fine. Not running rich at all.

I thought it was cheaper a few months ago. Lol. I wish I'd have gotten it then but oh well. It is still definitely worth the price. I'm sure they had a sale on it because it was winter and there aren't very many people wanting to do installs on their cars in the middle of winter. At least its still 10% off.
