i have a quicksilver sports exhaust and sounds great....i get heads turning everywhere i go...and asking what exhaust i have....even other mini owners are surprise that a mini can sound like this. low rpms you get a deep tone purr....after 5,000 rpm its a woosh porsche like sound....its great i love it!
i have the full exhaust single muffler from them, i actually was their test subject for the first one fore the mini cooper, so it didnt cost me anything, but i believe crevier mini sell them at 1200$? but im not so sure
Here is a link to my post i left about my newest exhaust, Moroso Sprial flow,
Hope to get a sound file this weekend, Sounds much better than the zoomers system, And i picked up some throttle responce, The zoomers muffler was huge, thinking the interanl volume was to big
Ill find out next weekend,
Track day at Miller Sports Park, i am running same set up at last year, only thing i have added is Camber plates and Cabrio bars,
Before zoomers I had installed a 15% pulley, then OBX header With a one ball exhaust,
Once i installed full exhaust it seems i lost bottom end and tip in throttle reposnce, Now with a muffler change i feel i have gained some of what i lost
I had 17% pulley, custom headers, CAI, and JCW exhaust. when i installed the Zoomer, it was a pretty big different for me. i agree for the bottom end, but i dont know about the throttle response, maybe i didnt really focus in on it, but it was a big change from JCW to zoomer
i believe im running at 185hp and 173 toq last time i ran a dyno
Here is a in car vid, windows down, camer mount is where rear veiw mirror is, This a a older Zoomers exhaust with a Moroso Sprial flow in place of the zoomers,
The incar pressure is greatly reduced. i can hear my radio again on trips, The power is smoother, not as off and on, And did i gain performance? Well all 4 races last year i was getting beat by Mazda Speed 3's, this track day i took second Lost to a 2007 cooper s with Mods, beat the the same speed 3's
Can someone tell me what is the weight of the stock 1st gen MCS exhaust? I'm all up for some HP gain and nice throttle sound, but going to a stainless steel aftermarket exhaust I would also expect some weight savings.
