Sorry, half of that reply was towards Shane's KW V1's. I do like KW's, but am afraid they would be too stiff. I was looking into the touring version of the cup kit for some feedback.

I don't own a MINI yet, but as this thread seems to be focused on market interest, I voted based on what I intend to purchase.

...much more reading on here. 300whp is not going to happen anytime soon. 300wtq is a possibility.

You will need a bigger turbo.

Power train is still stock, so I am watching this product. Vapor separator is next and maybe a DoS intake to make room for it. Then I will think about a tune. I have concentrated on the chassis.

You want 300 whp? Get an R53. 300 wtq, stick with the R56

how many 300+ hp r53 have blown engines? you don't hear that side of the story very often - but it happens more than is reported on NAM. You have to go pretty radical to get that kind of power. radical = $$$

Oh yeah, didn't mean it was cheap, just a bit more common than an R56 with 300hp. Any of Jan's Rotrex kits out there should be putting up the 300 WHP with a blower. But those are quite few. Then there are the Twincharged setups. mmmmm twincharged.

Well I would like to think that if vws and evo's with 0.4L of displacement, aluminum blocks and barely bigger turbos can make 360+whp on stock internals and unmodified drivetrains then our highly engineered r56 should be able to get at least 288 which by that point is all you'd ever need... After that 300whp is just a bragging right and that much power in such a lightweight fed car might as well be a display in a window rather than a daily driver (says the guy begging for the 300 hp euro ford focus rs :p).

If making 300whp is possible AND drivable I'll be the first to either do it or buy the kit that does it... I'd just be worried that that much power if u don't have an LSD would jerk the wheel out of ur hand if ure open, or destroy your brakes from the ediff trying so hard to stop the inside wheel from spinning...

Make sure and check off all that apply!
How come no love for all the R53's???

The R53 guys are not out of luck yet, but its going to be a while before we get to R53's and making the ALTA AccessPORT work on them. We still have lots of work to do on the R56 turbo cars first.

Jeff, just hearing that you guys are considering doing adapting the AP for R53s is music to our ears, and enough to keep us waiting with bated breath.

Just keep in mind, this poll and customer feedback is what is going to get us to move quicker on getting this done. There is tons of work to do with the current car, that is going to push off the R53. We need a better judge on how many R53 guys are really out there that would buy this. So please make post, or poll or call us, we need to hear it!
