Things are going well . . .

Response to the R56 W2A-IC has been really positive. The introductory pricing offer will end on July 7th when we ship out our first batch of IC's.

The R53 IC program is still putting along. We're aiming to have a tested prototype at MITM 2010.

Sorry, they're not on the site just yet. Apologies for that. Things have been insanely busy around here.

This is a worthwhile mod for cars that folks take to track days. However, you can still reliably drive with this W2A system on a daily basis. Cars with tuned ECU's will see the most benefit from this mod.

Apologies for the delay. It has been one buuuuusy summer.

Here's the link to that new thread.

We'll be posting a used one in the NAM Marketplace later this week that was used for product testing -- at a discount, of course. It still looks brand new.

Clint, I've exchanged a few PM's with you...annoying the heck out of you i'm sure lol. I figured i'd ask a quickie technical question in here.

I would love to go with this setup the second I can afford it...my question is, for a daily driven and occasionally tracked 08 MCS with full turbo back exhaust, DOS intake, and Alta Accessport, could I expect a bigger difference with this W2A setup or with strictly doing a larger aftermarket intercooler and better tubing?

I guess my real question is, will I get more air flow, and cooler air with this setup than with a strictly larger more efficient replacement A2A intercooler?

Hi Colin,

The main gains from this system are consistently cooler charge air, less pressure drop, and less turbo lag. The reduced pressure drop and reduced turbo lag come from shortening the charge air intake path.

I'd check out some of my posts on page one and two of this thread and the product info on the DoS site concerning the R55, R56, R57 W2A-IC. It will answer most of the questions that you've noted above. Shoot me a PM if you have any lingering questions.

-Clint
