Cowl Vents

I have read tons of posts in regards to the CAI's, I will be picking up a DDM from WMW. but my question is, has anyone made or modified the cowl vent to scoop pressured air into the intake ? If so, who & are there any made vents ?

FishHead#1, has made a working prototype for his car. You could try to PM him for pics/details.

I will be modifying my ALTA and the hood to see what I can do. If nothing else the way I am going to rig up my intake, the airbox temps will only be 1-2 degrees above ambient at idle and are gaurenteed to be at ambient above 10 mph. Look for it in my upcoming build thread, it will be a few months until I start on the body work though.

Gut the JCW CAI, add a servicable free-flow filter element to help skate past the visual inspections in CA. I had the DDM and it was great, but opted for the JCW on good advice from a guy who's in the business and knows the laws.

IMO, the CAI doesn't add that much HP, and I'd rather be able to have less to think about @ smog time...

I looked to see if he had any pictures and there were none, i PM'd tho.

What modifications to the hood are you thinking about? Ive been also trying to figure out how to make that cowl vent direct air into the intake. It would be pretty sweet.
