Akrapovic Exhaust

Found today that Akrapovic is making an exhaust for the R56. For anyone who hasn't heard of them, they are extremely well-known and highly regarded in the world of performance bikes for their titanium exhausts. They use the highest grade materials in all their exhausts, including Ti, Inconel, and Carbon Fiber.

They are also the OEM supplier of the 997 GT2 exhaust, as well as the 997 1/2 (facelifted) Turbo exhaust.

I have seen and heard their full Ti E90 M3 exhaust in person, and its pure art. Price is not for the weary though...I know the full M3 one goes for $6200. And, people actually buy them at that price, because they are just that good.

Not sure how much the MINI exhaust is, but unfortunately its not full Ti like most of their exhausts are. Just wanted to share for those out there that like to always have the best

Pic just shows the rear section, it is a full exhaust and you can get it with a 100cell high flow catted DP.

Prepare to spend thousands... Not many brands meet or beat them in the motorcycle world.

Since it's just a bolt on muffler, won't it be cheaper to buy an arkra bike muffler and get it mounted on the mini? Then we can have the option to pick of we want it in s/s, CF or Ti and in either round, oval and any other shape it comes in.

Not sure if it would be for optimal power though.

There is a video on YouTube somewhere of an R56 with a bike exhaust...i cant seem to find it right now though. Didn't sound too bad...but seems like the piping would be too restrictive to me.

And the Akrapovic R56 exhaust is a full exhaust....it only shows the rear section in the pic though.

They make very nice stuff. I had one on my old superbike.

Unfortunately they don't make anything for my current tractor .

LB! You better have the car running soon...I will be wanting a ride in it.

I'll be out in your neck of the woods a lot soon, doing my duty to ensure us R56 guys can play with 300+ hp too.

Ah, I have seen that YouTube vid as well, that R56 had a CF Yoshimura can on it. As with all aftermarket bike cans, it's all a straight perforated pipe encased in s/s packing and the sleeve. With full system exhaust for bikes, the power is all in the extracters and pipe, not the end.

So that's why I think it would too open, thus the constant popping on the over-run.

Just my 2 cents.
