Alta Air filter slippage

I would consider myself mechanically inclined. Ive installed turbo chargers suspension systems, clutches etc. For some odd reason the more I tighten the clamp, the more my Air filter keeps slipping off housing. I'm not sure if I can feel comfortable leaving it on just tight enough for it to stay put.

You may have better luck posting in the Alta feedback forum, as Jared monitors things there on a pretty regular basis.

I had the same problem.
I cleaned the rubber really good (just the lip that makes contact) and the contact point of the box with degreaser.
No problem after that.
Good luck.

+1 The oil used on the filters is good stuff! Just clean the rubber extra good and you shouldn't have a problem. If you do let PM me!
