Jan, am I eligable since I paid for the tool and tune and then found out it won't work on my '11?

If so, just put me on your list and let me know when you crack the 2011 codes.

Haltiner If you are still having problems from the origional tune, 1st gear or 2nd gear issues, or the surge and studder, then email Jan he has fixed the issues. My latest tune from him is 100% trouble and code and studder free and 1st and 2nd gear work just like they should, its a monster.

Oh and I have the dimsport tool from him just like you.....

That's great, but Jan talked about a new version of the disport tune probably 6 months ago and now not a word. Vvt? Pop/burble? Is there a better/smoother tune out there? Are we all supposed to email him privately ?

Well my car is an 08 and was one of Jans problem cars. I had a bad 1st gear, and codes, and it seemed like it had athsma.

So I was not concerned about the Pop/Burble. I also did not ask about the whole group of people out there. He told me yes on the VVT, for what its worth.

He is as usual very busy, and if you would like to wait for the whole group to get updates then have a good time waiting your turn. I needed my car for the commute to work, and did not want to wait for him to roll it out for everyone.

I guess its up to you, if you are having drivability issues I would email him. If you just want the Pop/Burble you should probably continue to wait.

DOUBLE DITTO CHAKRAJ! I've had Jan's custom modified boost tune for 3 months now and it's a beaut. Only problem was learning to really feather foot it around town. No pop/burble for me. All it does is make noise, not power.

All I'm looking for in an update from Jan as to if/when there will be a new version of the tune for dimsport users and what improvements have been made. I don't think I have any issues with my first tune, but more and smoother power is certainly welcome.

That's pretty much the same situation as why I spoke up the way I did-- wondering if there is anything more with regard to the refinement of the tune, and not dissatisfied with what I have. There was so much talk several months ago that the man was busy working to refine maps, tweaks, etc., but too busy due to the race season, other responsibilities, etc., and we just need to be patient and wait for good things to come. The waiting has been long and this thread was getting so few post to the point of not even listing on the main page of the drivetrain forum.

I initially had some hiccup on WOT and idle RPM blip now an then, and Jan immediately responsive and quickly sent me a new tune that solved most of that. I still get a quick rpm blip at idle now and then when come off freeway and wait at idle), but I don't see it as enough of an issue worth bothering Jan to mod tune and flash again-- but if there have been other performance/refinements based on Jan's knowledge and new discoveries with the ECU maps and tuning potential, then I think it would be nice if someone in the know would speak up with some current information to keep us content. I don't think anyone who realize how tedious the tuning is really wants to bother him with trivial incremental requests but if that is the mode of his operation, maybe that's what it takes to get anything?
