will the Intake Cowl Mod work with the Dinan intake? and is it even worth doing?

No.
The dinian has a snorkel of sorts so the air it is getting is already from the same area of high preasure doing the mod gives you acess too. Also you would have to cut the re-used stock airbox intake, which is reused, to allow more air in. Simply not needed.....and I would postulate it might reduce intake performance.

Agreed. There is little point. However, I trimmed down a piece of the airbox itself with some positive results. A little more air. Certainly not negative. Granted I probably wouldn't have defiled a Dinan intake had I paid for it.
