Any feedback on the Forge CAI

I have narrowed it down to 3; DDMWorks, DOS and Forge. I haven't heard much about the Forge CAI and would like to hear of any feedback, so I can make my decision...thnx!

DoS if you don't mind some noise. I'd also get the noisemaker delete along with it.

I have the Forge, and really like it. Butt dyno tells me it makes some difference. Looks good in the engine bay as well.

Will do Stig. I spoke to Clint via email...seems like a really nice guy. Oh, just noticed you said to order with the pre cut panel...can I just do the cut myself or is it that much more work?

Clint offers the best customer service I have ever experienced from any vendor.

High quality products too.

DoS on its way

I just ordered a DoS intake...woo hoo.

Does anyone know the hole diameter that needs to be cut? I have a few hole cutter bits...just wondering if I have the right size.

I'll just emailed instructions to you. All will be revealed.

Also, you can borrow a hole saw from DoS for a $35 completely refundable security deposit. (Provided that it's returned to us 30 days after placing your order in good condition.) It's just not up on the website yet.

Clint

You need to hook Dunphyj and myself up with a discount on the baffle when you release it.

Thanks
Stiggie

Noted. I'll see what I can do.

OK, 'Stiggie', so I have a question for you, JP, and Tim in SF.

Would you prefer a passive membrane baffle or butterfly (like a backdraft damper) that reduces cabin noise?

-OR-

A 'push-pull' cable actuated blast gate type baffle (like an old style choke cable) that you can work from the passenger compartment? A1) You can push the cable yoke in to close it it when your significant other is in the car, on long trips, & when you're not at events or tracking the car. Gains are slightly more than stock performance ~5hp more in the closed state and roughly stock sound. A2) When you're not in the car to talk about your feelings, you can pull the yoke to open-up the goodness.

Oops!

I don't want to hijack this Forge CAI thread with DoS R&D talk.
Here's a new thread to explore the baffle. Please post your comments on this there.
