noisemaker diameter? for bov

so i can eliminate the factory noisemaker and replace it with a to atmosphere bov correct? if so, does anyone know the diameter of the tubing connecting to the noisemaker? i need to get a flange but i dont know the diameter.

I would ask Ralph at Helix. They make a Turbosmart BOV kit for our cars. I used to have it before I upgraded to the HKS SSQV.

yeah... it kinda matters if you're going with HKS or a direct replacement... the HKS needs a specific connector where as the Helix13 and Alta BOV is a direct replacement for the stock noise maker. then there's the electronically controlled one on the turbo itself... that's the one that DSC has control over to cut power when you lose traction... that one to my knowledge only forge makes a spacer for that one that makes it some kind of BOV..

hope that helps a little... if you want i can take a look at my noise maker that's in my garage and measure it... i think it's a little more than an inch in diameter... i'll double check next chance i get...

yea if you could measure it that would be great.
im replacing my boost tubes so the hks kit will not work unless i hack at my new boost tube, i dont think im going to do that, so i was going to put it at the noise maker.
forges piece i dont even think is really a bov, i think it just amplifies the stock recirc.
