I have the RIS on my 09 Clubman S and have lost brake vacuum several times while driving. The stock brake vacuum line was replaced with the rubber line supplied by DDMWorks. It looks like the line is getting pinched off by the hood scoop. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone been able to use the stock hard vacuum line with the hood scoop? Thanks

I had that system for a while. what I did was to use the small plastic fastener that your remove from the lower part of the factory vacuum hose. One end snaps into the air intake duct (I think) and the other holds the vacuum line in place. Just slip that around where the new hose meets the opening and it wont crimp itself. I had that same problem and that fixed it

i just run my stock line... had the same problem as you, ended up shaving the side of the ram air smooth so it didn't rub anything (only on the driver side) at first it rubbed this one rubber piece around the hardhose, but after i shaved the side it was all good i put a small rubber piece back around the hose anyway just in case, but there's been absolutely no rubbing on it since however, i'd have to agree with the using the stock pieces to keep the kinks out too

Talked to Dave at DDMWorks and he suggested to rotate the plastic line coming out of the engine that the stock line you removed was attached to. There is a T-25 torx silver head bolt holding it in. Loosen this bolt and remove it. Then rotate the plastic nipple 90 degrees so that it is facing the passenger side of the car. Once the nipple is rotated, re-insert the bolt in the original location and gently tighten it down until it secures the nipple in place. Then connect the supplied tubing. I did mine and it is now lower than the engine lift.
