we keep trying to put a dive trip together but the new house keeps getting in the way

How is the 1.8 ? - I need to know - cause when the wife blows the 1.6 up I need to know which way to go ( she keeps bouncing the red line waayy over the top then yells at me for squawking tires between shifts ) Oh well - it could be worse - I could have a wife that complained about me spending money on cars instead of her asking how much it is going to cost and how fast it will make it go

My wife usually doesn't ask why I'm spending money but the 1.8 build is getting $$ and she's starting to ask why I need this or that . The 1.8 is coming along as planned. The head, pistons and bearings should arrive back this week from getting some trick coatings done. To bad I'm out of town at a trade show this week as I have to wait till I get back to see all the cool parts that will be sitting in my office all week.. Oh well, at least I have something cool to come home for.

LB - By the way - bring your but out to Colorado and I'll let the wife take you for a ride in her buggy - of course that means I'm spotting and your riding in the cage I built

I just changed my oil (Royal Purple) and topped my tank off with 91 octane this morning. On the way home I get an SES light. When I got home I put my OBD2 reader on it and it said P0171 - running too lean. Could it be the gasoline? I have always suspected that the station waters down their gas..
How do you reset the light to get it to go off?

How do I get a hold of Jan?

I have an 03S - 98kmiles with a K7N air filter. No upgrades, all stock.

Thanks for the info!

I currently have my car open and the MAF or throttle body (still not sure) out of the car. Just cleaning the heck out of my engine and looking for disconnected hoses. Later I will be under the vehicle.
